Question Problem of Noise over phone line

Hi All,

I have recently got a BSNL broadband connection. The connection and all other aspect of the network are good.

The kind of problem I am facing is very weird.

I have multiple outlets of same telephone line in my home. Once I log in to the brodband network, the normal telephone terminals starts experiencing some kind of noise. In one of my Orpat phone the noise is so high that I can not listen the person on the other side. However, the person is receiving my voice.

On the other hand, I do not experience any problem on a Beetel (Only) Caller Id phone on the same line.

I have tested for the leakage and any other possible problem withing the telephone network.

I guess the problem is with the telephone instruments. Any normal telephone instrument is giving me problem. Tested with Beetel, Orpat and Panasonic.

Can anyone suggest what exactly is the problem and respective solution.

The chances is that you may not have installed an ADSL splitter. If that is the case install a splitter between your BB modem/router and the telephone point. Splitters are very cheap (about Rs. 50/-).

you need to install a splitter on each socket which is in use... and apart from that it is adviced not to use more than 4 sockets on a single line and if your normal phones are giving problem then its better not to use them and use broadband on main socket only with one phone connected..
