Default Will Pentium4, 1.7 Ghz, 256 RAM, Windows XP suite for Home500 Plan

Hi Friends,

Im planning to take Home 500 plan. I have 5 years old system which has pentium 4, 1.7 Ghz , 256 RAM. Will this configuration suite for the connection or will it give any speeding issues and also do we have service tax along with the rental?

Regards,
Arun

Your system configuration is sufficient for internet surfing. For surfing, even a P3 will do. But that is just for plain surfing. If you wish to run serious applications then your system, especially memory, will be found wanting.

For the Home 500 plan, you will have to pay Rs. 500 plus service tax and education cess. This will amount to 12.24%. So you will be paying Rs. 561.20 per month provided that you are within your download/upload limit.

It wont make a difference if you use a state of the art quad xeon or a celeron.. your net speed doesn't have much to do with your system config.
Downloading movies will work just fine and so would watching them. But if you try ripping or burning movies from dvds or try rmvb compression and stuff like that then your system would gasp for air other then that your system is good for what you stated in your thread.
