what speeds are you getting?normally for a 256kbps connection you should get speed around 30KBps.you may get lesser speed sometimes due to slow site at the time or some other factor.

Well there no other ways to increase the speed other then to upgrade the package you are using. It would be good to get the higher package if you are not satisfied with the present speed.

It is possible that for some short bursts of periods you will get higher speeds such as 384kbps (it has happened to me) but that is only a bonus. This short burst does not last longer than 1 minute. BSNL has capped the speed of all UL900 connections to 256 kbps; so that is that. But this speed is good enough for almost all applications except for torrents and/or movie downloads. Your download window show the speed as 32 kBps.

Well as of the 384 kbps download speed it is not that much of a bonus. I got 198 kbps download speed on my Airtel connection for 2 hours and i think getting this speed in a month and that also as you are saying for just 1 minute is not a big thing or shall i say something very helpful.

It is indeed UL 900 plan and i pay 960 every month fixed. Also i believe i has paid more than enough to buy the modem itself by paying 60 each month for 1yr and 5 months. How much does the modem cost anyway?
