it is working fine with me also .... good tip ....

if you have bridge mode ON ...

    Download the software from here.
Free Download Manager - absolutely free download accelerator and manager

After installation, you can see scheduler tab as in pic. You will have to schedule it , like i have done, dial the connection at 2.15am, launch utorrent at 2.16am, and shutdown the pc at 7.50. To be on safer side ... dont forget to add reboot of router ...

With these settings i download gigs of data daily without staying awake.

::initial ... idea from friend of mine .. slightly amended by me....

Arrow cgi file for wa3002g1 modem?

    Hi,
I tried the method given for my modem which is a wa3002g1. But when i refresh I get the following error:

    Object Not Found
The requested URL '/rebootinfo.cgi' was not found on the RomPager server.

Can anyone tell me what the correct URL is for my modem?

    Default help

    RebootRouter.exe

The file works fine when I execute it.

But for some reason it doesn't work when I schedule it, and the machine wakes up from sleep.

In order to make it to work, I have to manually login to user account and click on the CMD screen.

you have to schedule the file to run with your login credentials in windows 7 which by default is not selected when creating a new task.in task properties select"whether user is logged on or not"& then enter your account username/password.task will then run after waking from sleep.

    Steps taken:

    1. I " Add New Task"
    2. I browse for RebootRouter.bat and select it
    3. I select "Daily"
    4. I select "start time" and "everyday" and "Start Date"
    5. I key in my password for login credentials
    6. Finish
    7. I open Advanced Properties
    8. I goto the Settings Tab
    9. Under Power Management, I select " Wake the computer to run this task "
    10. Under Power Management, I UNselect the other two options since I'm using a Desktop
    11. Apply and save settings

Now if I'm in the Desktop doing something, the thing just runs fine

If the computer is in hibernation/stand by mode, the computer does wake up at the scheduled time. But it doesn't do the task. If I login, I see two cmd windows. One telling rebootrouter.bat is being executed. And another is a telnet window, waiting for router login password. All I have to do is just touch any of the black windows, and there it starts executing.

I'm absolutely upset with these BSNL B@#$%&*s. Because of them I have to spend hours searching for some script to reboot my modem.

I was okay with Bridge mode setup. But now I've a laptop. I need the modem in PPPoE mode.

I'm trying to avoid THT10 or AutoHotKey, as much as possible. I tried to avoid RebootRouter as well. But it was the least complicated.

I would appreciate any kind of assistance regarding the situation.

    Need to reboot BSNL WA3002G4

Other Details XPP-SP3 (recently reinstalled); PIV 3.20 GHZ; 4.00 GB RAM, 8600 GT 512 MB

post your rebootrouter.bat file here.also you meant TST10(telnet scripting tool),right?btw tst10 is a very simple tool so is there any particular reason not to use it.

    @whitestar_999

    Thanx for the response

I think this was my problem

    Section broadband-how/automatic-rebooting-router-2-am-8-am Post 44

    According to mgtm7m

" 2) In the AHK method, The send/sendkey commands send the string inputs only to the currently active window. Hence if the telnet window is not the current window (topmost) or if you have locked your desktop, the inputs are not sent to telnet window and hence the script is not executed. "

I'm using the same WA3002G4 device

The reboot (from the post) thing doesn't work for some reason. When I execute it I loose internet connectivity, but the modem lights don't go off.

As far as the disconnect and reconnect is concerned I'm going to try it out now.

I really appreciate you trying to help me out. Thanks again.

And the rebootrouter.bat is available under post #26 of the same thread we are (discussing) in.

    Sorry I can't post urls, as I'm a newbie.

i prefer the TST method because it gives you complete control of which commands to send to modem independent of any restrictions.i should be able to create a reboot script for your modem using TST.

btw there is a way to send commands through AHK to minimize/hidden windows but slightly complex.i use it to send a pause all command to utorrent & flashget in system tray daily at 7:57AM.

Any instructions would be appreciated. Waiting for scripts for both THT and AHK. So that I can try them and give you exact results. Appreciate the help.

    thanx again.

@ essbebe I thank you for the options, I'm looking at scripting as an option for now. Appreciate it again.

using AHK would be far more complex so giving TST instructions.first use telnet to find out exactly which command restarts your modem.command varies from modem to modem.here is a reboot.txt file for nokia siemens c2110 modem reboot.
    192.168.1.1 23
    WAIT "Login"
    SEND "admin\m"
    WAIT "Password"
    SEND "admin\m"
    WAIT ">"
    SEND "system restart\m"
you have to put this .txt file along with TST10.exe in same folder & then you can create a .bat file to execute TST10.exe with the argument /r:reboot.txt so it will look like this:
    tst10.exe /r:reboot.txt

the above txt file will be different for your modem but basics are same.

    @imdprogamer,try this:
http://www.indiabroadband.net/mtnl-b...tml#post120334 (Telnet restart script for WA3002-G4)

also the link you gave has some confusing info:
So as an improvement that takes care of these problems I present here an autohotkey script. This is by far the most failsafe method. It does not wait for characters to appear like the TST.exe method nor does one have to worry about the telnet being the active window(so u can lock ur desktop too)

Sorry about the late reply my friend. Unavoidable circumstances.

It didn't work. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong.

As far as your confusion is concerned, say for example you have multiple windows, the window you are using is the active one.

Routerreboot or any other file I use, when the system wakes up its not the active one. when I click on it, it becomes active.

sorry for being a noob. If you can give me clear instructions including creating a batch file for the TST10 method. U and I can findout where we are going wrong.

I'm open for other methods as well.

    Thanks

    2.
.Keep the modem on ( mention model/number). No need for script .
( Check in WAN page: some box for idle time )
Now BSNL usage meters show /split the NU and day usage correctly.
at 0200AM and at 0800 AM.
    Check in your selfcare portal
    Mine data.bsnl.in home750 U/L

    Para two:

can you copy/paste the scripts you are using here.?
This will help @whitestar_999 to give his suggestions,
instead of asking him to refer this post or that post.
A minor mistake in typing could create problem .

see example in Post No 38. ( given in quotes).

    2.
against the line in the script add (* getting stuck here )

    3.
In scheduled tasks in your computer what is the priority for this /
    4.
Routerreboot or any other file I use, when the system wakes up its not the active one. when I click on it, it becomes active.
Delete all other tasks and list only this application.
    Test in day time!!!
