There must be something wrong at your end. Try downloading again or send a message to admin.

You cannot connect multiple machines when using a dialer. A dialer means that you have configured the modem in bridge mode. Configure it in PPPoE mode.

Just4kix thanx for the reply. My modem is configured in PPPoE mode.

for encapsulation mode I have LLC/SNAP-Bridging and Vc/MUX. I picked brindging one. I will try with VC/MUX

I cannot comment on the standards and reputation of the institutes. But if you are really interested in networking the certification "Cisco Certified" will go a long way.

    Default hi

how different is this wireless config in this page, from the wireless config specified in the other page which is: setup of ADSL modem/router UT-300R2U-linksys wireless router...?

OK. I have been told by many folks that downloading is a problem, file is corrupt, etc. My advise: turn off download managers and try by standard windows download.

The two posts are similar in some ways but different in some essentials:

In the post "Setup of UT-300R2U with WRT54G", the UT-300R2U is setup in bridge mode and WRT54G in PPPoE mode. In the post "Solutions to multiple PCs ...", the UT-300R2U is configured in PPPoE mode and WRT54G in Bridge (automatic DHCP) mode.

It depends. For port forwarding, BSNL modems do not give options such as virtual server (on the newer models). Hence it is better to have BSNL modem in bridge mode and Wireless modem in PPPoE mode.

But other than that, it makes no real difference. Just go with whatever is comfortable for you.

One post is enough please. Go through the many guides in "Broadband How To" section and you will probably get answers to most of your queries.

    Thumbs up Thanx just4kix

    Hi there,
I wasn't able to connect through pppoe to my router, and hence was not able to browse from my wifi enabled nokia.
With the help of your guide, i realized my mistake of not entering my broadband user name and password when prompted for in pppoe settings.

Now, my bb on the lap is always on and hey, i can access the net on my wifi phone as well.

    Many thanks.

    Bye.

    @smeetd
Also after referring links given in above post @meetdilip
    (A)
You should connect in "Always On' PPP/PPPoE mode.
(userID/PW entered in WAn page of modem)
    (B)
Enable DHCP ( seen usually in LAN menu page)
Give a range say 192.168.1.3 to to 192.168.1.10
    (C)
    In computer/laptop network/WLAN /properties/tcp/ip/properties
    Select obtain Ip address automatically
    Apply SAVE.
