i have 2 bsnl modems ....i want to connect both of them at a (*same)time ?
    NO. Not possible .
    Use 1 modem+wifi router and connect with RJ45 ( *100 meters length limit) from wifi router Lan 1 ,2 3 or 4.

I have (*wifi) router but its not good.....
    mention modem/router make/model/ number.
We will try to restore the functions in the WIFI router !!!

Assuming you have set up Modem +wifi router correctly,
how near, to the wifi router ,
your laptop is showing good signal ?
and you can surf comfortably ?

    TESTING:
    (a)
keep the wifi router parallel to floor.
    and increase the height.
    Reposition at a higher height.
Rotate for best signal in laptop.

    (b)
    Remove the present antenna.
Insert a short copper cable ( from telephone wire)
Wire thickness just fits in antenna port.(about 4 Inches length..)
    If range increased, etc
give Feedback.( max distance possible in feet )

    With AX Mt882
    STEP1 :

Confirm you can connect to Internet desktop in USB mode.

Confirm a new network has been created in Network settings Page.
Download USB drivers and then connect modem usb port to desktop. Windows will detect new hardware.
    http://mp.bsnl.co.in/bb/mt882/mt8882.htm

Enable DHCP ( In Lan page give range 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.1.10)
192.168.1.2 reserved for USB mode access.
    REF
The little I know about Dataone Broadband Services offered by BSNL

    STEP 2 :
confirm you can connect laptop to internet in LAN mode.
    Modem Ip address 192.168.1.1

    Para two:

    Step 3 :
If Laptop connects in Lan mode , remove the Rj45 from laptop end and connect to WAN port (or LAN1) of WIFI router.

The IP address for router 192.168.2.1

Another RJ45 from lan 2 to laptoP
Another RJ45 from Lan 3 to desktop.
( remove the usb port cable )

    Feedback.

    Default Unable to login

    Hi,

I'm new to this forum. I'm using BSNL broadband since May,2008. My modem is Nokia Siemens - C2110. I was in 500 combo plan of BSNL since inception. I changed my plan when BSNL started to provide speed of 512 kbps unlimited for 750 bucks.

My problem is frequent disconnection. My exchange officials are friendly but they are not techno-savvy. Most of the time they try to help us but the linemen can only check the lines which is OK but still the disconnection problem remains. The local exchange is only 150 metres away.

Today while surfing, I came to this great forum. I tried to check my modem going to this http: //192.168.1.1 (space was given intentionally as I can't post url before making 15 posts) but it's of no use. I tried with 'admin' as both username and password but it's asking the same again. I have tried several times but still unable to login. Please help.
