Rep Power: 5  |  I will not be able to help you right now because I am not at my home but I am traveling (in US for 4 weeks). UT300R2U has a static option mode. Using the Wizard, you should select this option. This is the third screen after clicking the 'Run Wizard' button. Static IP is most useful when you wish to do hosting services or implement your own web server.

Rep Power: 1 | Hi Buddy, Gotta a problem with router... i am not so aware of the router technology... currently I am using BSNL home plan 250 with 5 PC's..... i am using adsl d-link router.... Is it possible i can connect my adsl router to switch and coonect internet to other PC's and not use PC to dial up everytime.... currenlty we are using dial up on one PC and sharing the Internet connection through that PC.... what else do you suggest if I dont want to dial up thru PC and share the connection.... Rep Power: 0 | Hey just4kix, hope your US trip is going well... I tried what you said, brought both modems back to factory settings, and configured them again. I even got the PVC-0 to connect again, but there is no changing the default gateway from 0.0.0.0 unfortunately :-( one more thing while experimenting I noticed is that, if I add the cable from my ADSL into the router, but NOT in the internet port, the router works fine and my desktop can access the internet... However I cannot acces 192.168.2.1 (router) from my desktop, and in addition my laptop doesnt connect to the internet... would that give you any clue as to why the set up isnt working anymore? do let me know, thanks (DHCP is enabled both places) |

Rep Power: 0 | smartax 841 help needed Hi, i followed all the steps for configuring the smartax mt 841 modem and succussfully connected to the net with my laptop thru wifi. Utorrent works fine with both LAn and wifi but am unable to surf the net thru internet explorer using either. Please help |
