Yes you can. Follow some of the guides here. The guides may be for different routers but the principles are the same. You may be having a user manual of your Billion router. It will also show step by step method. Just follow the steps.

You must setup a PPPoE connection.

You can use any ADSL modem/router with BSNL. Just feed in the settings correctly.

    Some hints:
    Just feed in the settings
For BSNL VPI VCI values are 0 and 35.
Select this connection from WAN page.
If "Bridged" mode selected SAve and reboot.
If PPPoE selected enter userId without @ bsnl.in
    enter Password
Check "always On ' idle time 0 ( ( if any ) Save Reboot.
If problem check Diagnostics page ( if any in the modem )

I am using billion 5200s modem from past 2 months.
Its very easy to configure, it' address is 192.168.1.254 (admin/admin). just copy the wan settings from whatever router u have, vpi-vci 0-35, if there r some extra settings in your router model version, leave them to default

Oh i didn't see the thread start date!

This is fine. Original thread start date was old indeed but someone asked a question again and the thread became alive again.

I used these values (0_35) and the modem gave me Error 691 (Phone line is busy!)

Later, i used 0_32 along with 0_32 (both br) and then it got connected successfully.

    Maybe my connection is crazy!
