    Default 'FLAWS' of bsnl modem

    hello everybody

i have ul900 plus connection and i have purchased the type iv modem as i was forced to buy the modem from bsnl as they were saying that they will provide no assistance in any difficulties if modem is not purchased from bsnl.
after using the modem for some time i have faced so many problems with modem

so here are the main flaws
    1.)It provides very poor features
    2.)The configuration page simply sucks!!
3.)The modem heats up very badly
    4.)Weak signal strength(wi-fi)
5.)The modem fails to connect wirelessly to a laptop or desktop if the option 'obtain ip address automatically' is enabled
6.)Contains no manual (in case of modem issued to me)

    and the list goes on......................................

but there is only one positive point that the modem is very cheap comparing to others.

To add to the above ...

    7) No firmware updates

On some other points you mentioned ...
    2) UT-300R2U configuration pages are OK, I guess (not great, but OK)
    6) I received manuals as PDF on the CD provided

So to sum up ... and I say this quite often ... When you shell out peanuts, you get monkeys ...

Not at all. I meant that there could have been better offers.
