Rep Power: 0 | You could just turn off the wireless in the router settings if you do not intend to use it. You can always turn it on later when required. |

I have referred to Linksys WRT54G wireless router. I do not know what router you have. But the principles are same. Please also refer to my posts on Wireless Security Primer and Wireless Security Primer - II for understanding about wireless security, implications, methods, etc. (do a forum search for these posts).
