India Broadband Forum Rs. 550 per month for unlimited access at upto 2.4 mbps, USB and PCMCIA laptops slot modems and Roaming. sounds good. Have any one used this? please share your experience. Rep Power: 2 | well you wont get 2.4mbps everywhere as not all towers have that capability. You do get them in certain areas.. otherwise you get 144kbps!!which is slow!! |

Rep Power: 1 | there is a difference b/w the wireless broadband bsnl gives one is on 144 kbps which is on cdma x1 technology and the other is on evdo which is 2.4 mbps loveduke46 you have mentioned that you are not happy with the speed which is the broadband you have? Is it using the WLL tarang phone whichis 144 kbps but if you have a evdo then you will be uisng a mobile like device connected to the comp which will give you 2.4 mbps |

I just brought BSNL EVDO card one week back. My house is 0.75km from the telephone exchange. But i am able to get only 200 to 250 kbps and downloading speeds are of max 15 kbps. I went to bsnl exchnage here they were are also getting the same speeds. I am not sure why this is so less, when they cliam around 2.4mbps. If you have any information on this please reply. | |
