Thread: Plzz Help Speed in BSNL

I have the Rs 500 2mbps plan and the download speed which i should be getting 500kbps i get around 30kbps or less.Plzz help me.I live in kerala.

first of all this is bsnl dont expect sky rocketing speeds okay and by the way the main underwater link has been damaged so it will take a week to repair so obviously you will get slow speeds.

let get this straight forward download speed is measured in kBps not in kbps.
Here is the jargon buster

kbps-kilobytes per second
kBps-kilobytes per second

1 kBps=8bits
The download speed is measued in kBps not in kbps as you have stated

so by calculation if you are saying you should get 500kbps it means you are getting a download speed of 62.5(divide it by 8) you do the math!
and one more thing these are not dedicated speeds which means that you will lower speeds than this not higher why?.....think

because the maximum download speed for 500kbps connection is 62.5 kBps and naturally it cannot go higher than this

for 2mbps plan you should get speeds ranging from 210-240KBps.you may get less & sometimes for a few seconds may get more.

well u can get 210KBps onlt with the help of download manager.......i have 250 basic plan & it never gave me above 1.1mb/sec w/o download manager.....also many times sped even depends on the server ur downloading.
