Thread: how to use wifi?

i have a laptop , and a desk top with home500 plan of bsnl dataone and MT841 modem. problem is that i m not being able to use wifi with my laptop. laptop shows good strength of wifi signal , but i can not connect ot interner through wifi. please help me

I think Type IV is urs?

I tried the solution shown on "New page1" for Type-IV router/modem.But that is a very generic explanation and didn't solve my problem which is same as in the first post!
I am able to connect to the MT 841 and browse the Net on my Laptop thro' LAN cable.
When I try the Laptop's WiFi connection, I am able to connect to the MT 841 and the network strength is also fine.but I am not able to connect to the internet.

You must be setup in the bridge mode. Please configure your router to PPPoE mode. Refer my guides.
