    dont worry
i 2 use the same plan.
now bsnl does not show the usage in night unlimited and normal usage separately.
they have changed their portal to a new look which is worse than the previous one.
we now have to calculate usage for night and normal usage separately.

What I would suggest is, keep a printed copy of the screen shots, web pages from the usage info, just in case.

If you are slapped with a wrong bill, you can always fight it out, logically and with proof.

most importantly always confirm the plan from atleast 2 or more officials at your local exchange before using the night free slot as sometimes users got home 250 when they have applied for home 500 in some cases.

I guess, you will be getting the end bill right, as they cannot do all the calculations and maths in between the billing period for everyone, so expect a perfect bill at the end of the month, else just note down all details and show to them as proof.

    Default the right way

yup thanks friend for ur suggesion
i think the right way to use bsnl is that save the web pages of usage so that we can show them if they at end as i am confirmed that night hour are free for my plan
and use the net meter which can be swithceh off during night hours

i m facing the same problem. i m having plan 500 C+ in which night unlimited is free, but in my usage page night downloads are also added. i do confirm with BSNL ppl about my plan and asked abut night downloads. they told me that night usage will be deducted in my final bill. let's see abut their statement. anyone here who has exprienced the same problem but atlast got fair bill. i think the best option is to take snapshots of ur usage regularly, and install netmeter to see ur usage.

IT is free from 2:00 AM to 8:00 AM. but then you have to start your modem after 2:00 Am only, if it was started earlier i.e. before 2 am then it will be charged.
