Unhappy Problem in getting BSNL Broadband connection.

    Hi all,
I have applied for BSNL broadban connection on Nov 12th, 2007 online.
Last month I get a call from BSNL people and told me to note down some 'userid and some 75 avenue' sort of information.
Suddenly I received a call from BSNL yesterday and told me that "some one in family told them that we don't need connection, and if you want write a written letter to commercial officer".
I don't understand what is going on? When I enquired in my family, no one told that.
    Can I apply freshly now?
    Can any one help me?

go to your local exchange & ask about the status of your connection application.also tell them about the call you got.my suggestion is not to apply fresh as that may take longer.

    Default I was lucky

It took around a week for me to get the connection.
And they also provided the protal Id and other details.

The very next day i checked the usage.

Don't apply for new, it will make the matters worse. Just go to your nearest bsnl office and inquire about it. Contact the concerned personnnel and tell everything to him, he could solve your issues, don't ever apply again, you might end up with two connections, it can happen it is bsnl and it is govt. owned.

I also got the same problem.. our senior members asked me to check with the xchange.. i did it and the same day i got the connection.

Unhappy Be Carefull when applying new connection in Online

    hi,

I like to share my experiance with online registration for BSNL Broadband.i have applied for the 500C plan thro online said i have modem with me. Some marketting executive came and collected address proof and signature in New Land Line application form. In 3 to 4 day i got the telephone connection

One funny thing happend here is the excutive marked in the application form as 'purchase modem from BSNL', and i didn't notice it. i came to know, only when the reqest receipt came thro courier. Then it took a day for me to go to the nearest customer service center and give a hand written a letter for cancelling the modem from bsnl

And it's arround 3 weeks now, i didn't got any info about broadband and when it will be activated. Every time i dial to the near by exchange they are saying next week or 2 day. Now i don't know how long it going to take to get a Broadband from BSNL

    Thanks
    RAJ

how long it will take to get broadband from bsnl depends on port availability in your local exchange.it is similar to having a large hub/switch with thousands of ports.if one is empty you can get connection in no time.if all ports are used up then you have to wait till bsnl increases its capacity(i.e.ports)by installing new equipments which can take anywhere between 2-5 months(depends on your area).if in your area there is a large demand of broadband then it will take at least 2-3 months.

    Default I have given up...

    Hi guys,
I went to BSNL office this Sat'day.
After waiting nearly 2 hours for the JTO, he calmly told me that they already canceled my request and even I can't apply for the new one until they changed the status from 'Cancel' to other state.
He also told me that the status is blocked now and even he can't do anything about that, until the status is changed to other state[only Telephone Bhavan, Hyderabad people able to do that].
He also told me that the staff is very low, and for everything he is working Over Time. So, it may take long time.
I lost my patience, and decided to given up BSNL. Can any one please tell me remaining options?

    Same here

I applied for a new line on the 28 of Jan 2008 , got it within 4 days and then after filling the broadband form and few password issues , I got broadband up an running on the 14th of Feb 2008 .. Don't expect anything to happen from BSNL's side , You would have to visit the BSNL Telephone Exchange every 3rd day to find out what's going on . Sweet talking helps . Pay the line man and your work will get done quicker , ask him how much he wants not what you are willing to give him

it's all worth it though , once you get the connection up and running there's almost 0 downtime . Depending on your exchange / the distance you are from the exchange / the signal noise on your line etc etc , the speed of your connection will fluctuate .

Apart from speed fluctuations I have still to see the BSNL server go down all together . Trust me it will be worth all the effort once you get the connection .
