Rep Power: 2 | Is any way to use two Internet Connections together. I have two connections 1) BSNL EVDO 2) BSNL Broadband I want to use them together. What i mean is that the bandwidth available to me is: Total Bandwidth: EVDO + BB Normally once i connect both of them only the last connection works the later becomes idle. |

| Platinum Member | you can't use both EVDO & BB together simply but there is a really complex way to do it.if you know virtualisation software like VMWare quite well you can setup a virtual machine inside your XP & then add one of the devices(EVDO/BB) to it while other to your real operating system.this way you can simultaneously surf/download on both OS(real & virtual). however note that this will require a lot of RAM(preferably>=512MB more the better). PS.where are you using the EVDO service & what is the average speeds you got while downloading large files(>300mb for torrents,>=100mb for http download)? |

Rep Power: 2 | My question is that can't we use them together. Suppose i am downloading with one connection and sufing with another. EVDO is excellent service which lies in broad band category. Frankly speaking i am getting 100 kBps average download speed while downloading large files. Stability is excellent and it gets connected immediately. Also its unlimited so far better than 900 Ul plan. |

Rep Power: 3 | No you cant use both the connection simultaneously.Because when your data packet lives your machines ( with default gateway as your modem ) and directed towards modem (with default gateway at ISP) and than will go towards ISP. and you cant configure two default gateways on same machine( directing traffic to different ISP's) with this setup. Yes this is possible to do .( I my self never tried so ) ..for this you have to install two NIC in your machine and by any means you have to define different gateways on each NIC (one with ISP1 and OTHER with ISP 2),and this you can not perform with windows ( AFAIK !!) you have to go for Vmware/linux distro's. |
