i don't think in jaipur the EVDO service is present.many users confused EVDO card with EVDO service.to use EVDO service you must have EVDO card but if EVDO service is not present then also EVDO card can be used but it will work on a CDMA network with max. speed of 144kbps or 18KBps.

Im really amazed by this Rs550 unlimited plan and also the speed is very reliable,as its giving 2.2MBPS..
SO is anyone here using this plan???
Im going to take this datacard plan of BSNL tomorrow and i just want to know if there is any kind of shortcomes in it or not

IT WILL COST ME Rs 4000 in total for DATACRD + ONE MONTH's BILL..
So what do you all say??
Shall i go for it????

Boss! I'm from Orissa as well. I stay in BBSR and am planning on getting the 500C+ Home plan this month. The EVDO card sounds cool and maybe you can fill us in on how well it performs.
Will check with the BSNL office here.

Question Where it is available???

[ I MEAN TO SAY IN ALL STATES OR SELECTED >>>

ITS BETTER TO HAVE 550 UL PLAN THAN TO HAVE 750 UL PLAN AND SPEED IS ALSO GOOD (IF ITS 100-150 kB)...I AM HAVING LAPTOP SO I WILL GET RID OF WIRES N CAN MOVE FREELY WITH MY LAPO......

Thumbs up EVDO Card Evdo Card

i give this connection

1).. on rate based for per month charge 10 out of 10 as it is just 550

2)..on performance based its 6 out of 10 as it seams get dissconnect after a span for 1 min nearly like resetting the server it may happen 5 times a day

3)..on speed base as u know its unlimitted so i rate it 9 out of 10 as speed varies not fix
u may get 34kbps for download(i.e 256kps speed) to 300kbps download (i.e 2mbps connection)

but usualy it lies between 80 kbps to 120 kbps

4) problem there is not tweeking facility(port forwarding)
as u r not allowed to touch the settings of evdo sorry boss its bsnl who dont trust us

%) My view point

i u r downloader then go for it is best no time limmit

but look u have bsnl tower nearby for me it just 300 meters away

ya u get bsnl other plans on fixed line but i prefer this u get unlimited facility better than fixed plan

note:

in my area ghaziabad

1) if u go for rent base

u have to pay:
Rs.2405.00 initially at connection time as demand note (includes security, one month charge , taxes etc)

monthly u pay 750

haha

@) if u buy device

its of Rs. 3500

so intialy u pay Rs. 3500+1405

too high

monthly Rs. 550
cool ha its ur choice

i said go for it

as with speed u dont have to care for it disconnection of about 1 min

i like this connection
and using

and remember

from other service providers reliece there card dont provide such speed they r not comparable with evdo

ya u can compare them with cdma connection of bsnl(it is also a data card called nic) but dont go for it(speed(144kbps) so download 144/8 kbps sucks

Hey is that true that even though in 2.4 mbps (PCMCIA card for laptop) plan even if we have full signal i heard that the speeds fr torrents will be very low due to some private ip address sharing and some stuff like that...

bro...im going to take this connection in 10 days and my activity is mainy downloading from torrents only...

Plz suggest me something...

Default CDMA Data Card

Can I use the BSNL CDMA Data Card in roaming circles?

In my home circle I'm about 1 KM away from the BSNL tower. What can be the expected speed in kilo bits per second using the CDMA data card?

And how about the stability of the connection?
