    Angry 50-50

I have just registered with bsnl. The connections started yesterday.I have home ul900 plan. They activated my connection in just 3 days.that was really surprising.I was happy on their service. But i am in shock now learning that the speed for home UL 900 is only 256kb/s.As far I know that the bsnl has upgraded all the existing plans to 2mb/s.Then why are we getting such a slow pace? Can anybody clarify on this?

Ul900 plan - Unlimited usage with a Limited speed (Isn’t the logic correct?)

Go for volume based plans if you are really worried about speed. Use night unlimited (2AM to 8AM) in home plans from H500 onwards.

For unlimited download the max speed has been fixed as 256 kbps because otherwise other regular limited users like home 250 plans and 500 plans (which is the maximum customer base of bsnl) would suffer because of the unlimited download with maximum speed where they will utilize to download and others will not get a decent speed!

BTW i too have a 900 plan in bsnl!

it is possible but for only a very short time.try to download a big file(~100MB) from a site & then see how much time it takes.for a 2mbps it take around 8-9min with 200-210KBps.
