You were talking of automatic connection. I am interested in automatically getting connection. my modem which is ut300r2u. Will you please give a detailed tutorial on this subject. If I make it automatic, will the error 718 go away?

You must setup your UT-300R2U modem in PPPoE mode for automatic connection. Please follow step 1 for this guide: http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...onnection.html (Solution for multiple machines connecting to same BB connection)

hi, just4kix, i found it really useful for any new users of broadband, especially a very unfriendly customer service like bsnl. I wonder how long did it took for you to prepare this info. I really found it useful.

Thanks xwhyz for the kind words.

Writing the guide took me 3 weeks. But I was not working on it all the time - just during some spare time.

I just checked the attachment and its downloading fine and it opens without an issue.

What exactly is the problem ... are you not able to download it? not able to open it? or not able to understand it?

If you be more specific we can help you out.

Please do not leave messages like send me a mail and send me message and all that... no one would do that for you.

Dont you think its more then kind of Just4kix to even prepare and post it here for all of us that you are asking for a vallet service?

Shout with your problem and everyone here will try to resolve it for you.

Hello all, It is not possible for me to mail the guides to each and every request. I made a public announcement on this. I sincerely apologise but it is simply too humungous a task.

If there are download problems, these are certainly because something is not right at your end. For instance turn off download managers such as IDM or DAP temporarily.

Any modem/router can be set in Bridge mode or PPPoE mode. Actually there are other modes as well such as PPPoA, PPTP, Bridge/PPPoE with Static IP, L2TP, etc.

To configure modem/router in bridge mode is very simple. Instead of PPPoE select Bridge mode. You will not be asked your ISP login and password. After bridge mode configuration is done, you will have to create a dialer. Please refer to this guide:

Setup of ADSL Modem/Router UT-300R2U with Linksys Wireless Router WRT54G
