    Try switching to open DNS
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220

These can be set through TCP IP Settings of Network Adapter.

DNS settings must be changed on the modem/router and not on your PC. Leave the settings to automatic on your PC.

Type http://192.168.1.1 on your browser to open the routers web configuration page. Login to the router (default username/password = admin/admin in most cases). Go to WAN settings. There should be DNS settings available. Change the DNS settings, click apply and reboot the router.

Check MTU is set to 1492 in modem settings page.

It is better to have MTU at 1452,
It should be 1452 for PPPOE-dialling and 1460 for Bridge-mode.
    please see this:
    Tweaking for speed - dslreports.com
There it is given how to set MTU etc.,
If you are using Vista or Win7, you need not do anything.
Only if it is WinXp, you need to set/change MTU
