    Default New Broadband Connection

    Hi Everybody

I have recently got my first broadband connection from BSNL and I am currently on the H500 Plan. I am using UT300R2U Type 1 modem.

In past couple of days, I have been going through the discussions on this forum and I must say that it has helped me a lot... Please accept my thanks all you regular posters.

Now, I have been trying to check my usage for the past couple of days on the BSNL website. However, after using the portal id and password, all I get to see is a blank page. I have tried it in IE as well as in Firefox. Another thing that I have noticed is that most users on this forum have a userid such as ABC@dataone.in. However, my id ends in @bsnl.in. Would this cause any problems? Lastly, how do I change my broadband connection password issued by BSNL. In todays times of identity theft, I am extremely paranoid about using passwords given by service providers...

A quick reply will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks and Regards

hey,i think new users have @bsnl.in and old users @dataone.in ...there is a major confusion as to where the new users have to go to check their usage... from what i have read and understood. .you have to visit BSNL - Broadband Account Management and enter your portal id and password.. your portal id and password is not your bsnl connection userid and password.. its a 14 digit id...
Regarding changing your bsnl password.. you need to login to your portal and change it.. there will be an option.. but many of my friends have had a problem while changing passwords...some have lost connectivity for over 3 weeks etc..
