Thread: siemens c2110 modem configuration

I cannot log onto the configuration page of C2110 Siemens Dataone modem usin g http://192.168.1.1 inspite of configuring IP address and subnet mask of the system.

go to the command prompt and type ipconfig and post results.. and also type ping 192.168.1.1 and post results!!

if all else fails reset the modem using the reset button on modem.

Thanks.. I reset the modem and still cannot open the page in browser Opera or Mozilla Firefox. The modem is pinging at 192.168.1.1

Did you hold the RESET button for at least 20 seconds or so (while it was powered ON)? If not, it will not reset.

p/s. This is a safety feature of the RESET switch so that the modem is not aaccidently reset.

Thanks to all who promptly responded with solutions... I am now surfing through broadband.

When i am going to port forwarding option in my nokia-seimens c2110 i am not being able to configure it,as the other option is preset & there is no scope to change it.how do i change it?is it bcoz of using dsl modem?ud adsl modem solve it?

c2110 is an ADSL modem.
Change settings from "Bridged"
to PPP/PPPoE always on mode.
