    Exclamation Strange problem in torrent

    frds,
My torrent had started to download 6 files by today morning 2AM. I got power failure by 5AM and i have a problem with my UPS.. so PC had switched off automatically(not shut down). Again power came in few mins. and i started my PC and when i checked my torrent i found that there was no files in the list.. i.e ALL0,Downloaded0,compledted0.. everyting is 0.. looks like fresh torrent.

I checked with the downloaded file and all are showing last modified date is 4AM.It means that there is no problem with the 5AM power failuer. Now many of my files are 90% completed since im downloading from the past one week.
    Now tell me the reasons.

1.why is it showing like that?
2.Is it possible to continue from the failure point.. i.e adding the .torrent file again and starting from 90%

    help me guys.

    1. I did not face this problem with uTorrent. Probably because of abrupt power failure, it failed to save your settings.

    2. You can continue from where you left off. In fact, I was downloading a torrent on one machine. I copied the 35% completed file to another machine and strated the torrent there. It correctly picked off from 35%.

    there are certain files in C:\Documents and Settings\"your account"\Application Data\uTorrent mainly settings.dat & resume.dat especially resume.dat
in case of sudden power failure these files get corrupted & when windows restarts & starts doing "file system integrity check" it deletes those files.

Default read this to know how to do

all the files will be in the same locations as it was before, if u are using a torrent, don ever worry of the half download or download breaks,

if u still have the same torrents add them to the utorrent,
it will ask for the save location, choose the same location in which the 90 %completed file is present, then utorrent will suggest that it will do a force check.

perform a force recheck and tats all, u can continue from where u left
