    where are the dns server addresses in the modem?in pppoe mode you have to manually put these values in modem in the above settings i think.

    did you setup DNS in your modem/router??because if only a few sites open etc.. it could be DNS problem.. try setting it to OpenDns server.. ip's are 208.67.222.22 and 208.67.220.220

    Default modem/router/wifi WA3002-G4

    From your queries , unable to understand what is the problem.
    confirm you are connected to internet and can surf now
    IF not;
    see this link and follow the settings.

    (b) Also in TCP/IP properties page in computer.

    Para three : 1394 connection.

    essbebe has said it all!

    but just to be short there's a high possiblity that there is a DNS problem, if you are not able to set dns servers in your modem config. then do that in the LAN options simple

    and as far as my memory serves me right 1394 connection if for the inbuilt modem(56 Kbps) in which you connect your telephone line, there is no need to bridge that.....sheeesh

    when you were in windows , did you use a dialer to connect to the internet or did the internet work as soon as you switched on your modem? in your terminal , type ifconfig and post output.
