are you able to connect to the dlink?? if so,then go to the configuration page and look for something called ppoe or dialing etc.. there enter your bsnl username and password...save/reboot!!

    hi everybody

i have 5 pcs in my office. i have 1 zte router provided by bsnl and i already had dlink di-524 wireless router. right now i have connect my zte to one of the lan port of di-524. the bsnl people told me that we are suppose to use it in pppoe mode only and not by bridging as it is not authorised. i have given the ip 192.168.1.2 to di-524 and 192.168.1.x to my pcs in the office. i have also put the defauld gateway as 192.168.1.1 and dns & alt. dns as 61.1.96.69 & 61.1.96.71. ever thing is working fine right now.

    is this setup correct technically

yes, but its always recommended to place the dlink's ip address outside the dhcp range of the bsnl modem
