Thread: Is rapidshare down from yesterday????

IS rapidshare working for the rest of you.I cannot even logon to the site.Is the server down or is my ISP BLOCKING RAPIDSHARE?????

I have a premier account with rapidshare.My isp has blocked rapidshare,it seems.But i am able to logon to rapidshare.com through proxy site but unable to download anything.As whenevr i click a download link,it just hangs.Earlier IDM( internet download manager) was able to pick up the link and show the size now it is not happening? What to do?

try this method.if the rapidshare download link is something like this http://rs380gc.rapidshare.com/files/...0806/tst10.zip then ping this line rs380gc.rapidshare.com & you will get a msg something like this--"reply from 208.48.186.181"
change your download link to http://208.48.186.181/files/85646222/370806/tst10.zip & you can download this link.i am not sure about how this method will work through proxy sites though still try it & tell me whatever happens & before that try my next method below first.

also try this in your browser for opening rapidshare instead of typing rapidshare's site name type this---195.122.131.5.if this works then just replace

RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting or rapidshare.com

with 195.122.131.5 in every download link like this one--http://rapidshare.com/files/85646222/tst10.zip.html(old)
--http://195.122.131.5/files/85646222/tst10.zip.html(modified)

hi im in UK now and i was also not able 2 download frm rapdishare from yesterday.. i hav got the error message like this.. is this the error everyone is getting.. do check and tell..

Rapidshare & Megashare is not working for me since 2 days. I have Vodafone Handset & it opens from there, but not using BSNL BB.

May be they are blocking it may be on weekends. don't know.

Which plan are u in unlimited? Because may be they have this stategy

rapidshare is working fine right now.in fact i am a premium user & i daily download from rapidshare between 2-8AM every day.my plan is home 500.

No prob with RS, Yesterday morning I've downloaded

I am using BSNL and yesterday they have blocked my account from downloading from file sharing sites like rapidshare.com, megaupload and so on so my system can’t download anything using internet download manager .

Finally I have recovered from the error; the solution is pretty simple one.
Just open your network settings and replace the Automatic DNS entry to your custom DNS entry . If you have custom DNS entry, you may get it from openDNS site

Or you may simple use this displayed below, that was extracted from openDNS site

This is worked for me and I hope that it will works with most of the ISP

Latency test is around 245 to 255 ms on all of their servers. But will not tell ya whether I am on BSNL or not. To preserve the identity.

same with me, even i am not able to connect to any file sharing sites since yesterday. i tried changing dns but no luck, it is able to detect ip address but does not connect.
no rapidshare/uploading/megaupload/filefactory/hotfile, none of these are working .

any suggestion?

I was already facing some problem accessing multiple sites and was tracing the source and came across his post.....

It seems that a single IP range is failing.

Just look at these IP traces

As it is visible, apart from Rapidshare, the rest are failing after reaching 216.6.xxx.xxx which infact belongs to IP range 216.6.0.0 - 216.6.127.255 owned by Tata Communication, Canada.

I don't know what happened but it seems that there might be some problem with traffic routed through Tata communication, Canada

Nope. For me, only RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting & rapdishare.com are failing while other xxx.rapidshare.com servers are still working. Therefore it couldn't be a ban from Goverment or BSNL.

Also, I tried megaupload, filefactory and other sites, they all are working or seem to be working for atleast now.

Test:
I'll be trying to access the site, upload a file (a zip containing EXE) and then download it.

Here is my current status:
