    Default @whitestar_999.....

    bro....problem got solved......a fellow member (kkc) on d forum mentioned dat he was facin d same problem (in d thread-unable to open some sites)....

    (Hi
    had the same problem was unable to access icicibank.com and some other sites.
    waited thinking the problem would go away but that did not happen.
    I had to do some research, and solved it myself.

    I have a Beetel wireless router went into router interface by typing 192.168.1.1 in the address bar of Mozilla
    and decreased MRU from 1482bytes to 1400bytes which solved the problem.
    pls try and get back
    )

    tried to find MRU in my modem..dere was none....but dere was MTU....so i reduced it to 1400....and VOILA.....it worked...all d sites r workin fyn now......

    i was also about to suggest the same thing.1492 is default value of MTU in various modems.in my bsnl provided modem it is 1500.some modems seems to have a problem with their default values of MTU & decreasing this may help.in my modem this MTU value can be set in "local network configuration".it won't harm anything as it is just a setting.MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit)size means the max. size of packet which can be send through the modem.
    Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
    Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
    Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?
