Thread: ut300r2u modem ethernet green light is continiousely flickering

why my modem Ethernet green light is frequently flickering ,light is not getting steady , can u any one please help me ............

the ethernet green light usually flickers when you are downloading a file or viewing a webpage..basically whenever you use the internet and there is a transfer of data .. that light flickers

the ADSL light must be stable and not the Ethernet light....

NO..... internet light would blink while data transfer and not ethernet light.. it should be stable.. if its blinking.. either u got a problem in modem or in ur pc

there are 4 types of light---power(red),link(yellow),data(green) & PC/USB(red).i use bridge mode & thats why my green light is always off.if you use pppoe mode it will be on & it will blink while data transfer is taking place according to manual.

for me.. the power and the link is stable.. whereas the ethernet and internet lights blink whenever i use internet

4 lights are on in my modem and its named like this-power,dsl,internet,ethernet ...all r green....the internet and eternet flicker while using internet.!!!

so i answered according to how it is in my modem!!!

superprash2003 what u said is correct , why bec , as like ur modem , alll my modem light ar green in colour , now my modem eather net light is ok , whil i am using net that time it flick , idle time it willl be steady only , thx u

yaa.. i was wrong.. mine too blinking.. but it should not be.. isn't it???

i think it should..i have noticed in every modem that two lights blink when internet activity is going on...probably uplink and downlink..not sure!!

i use bridge mode & only the PC/USB light blinks but then there are only 3 lights which are on in my modem as DATA light(always off in my modem) will only on in case of pppoe mode.
