    Exclamation strange dataone problem on wa3002-g4 router

    hello,
    I have a dataone connection wa3002 g4 router.

    Bsnl guy made the connection on my laptop both using lan interface and wifi and it works fine on both connection at any one time.

    Now i bought a new desktop pc and try to establish connection using lan but i failed

    -the settings on the both my laptop and pc are both the same.
    -it shows that the lan is connected but 192.168.1.1 is unaccessible.
    -tcp/ip settings ---obtain the ip address automatically
    ---obtain the dns address automatically.
    -iam using a pppoe always on connection

    please help me

    go to command prompt and type ipconfig.. and post results here.. just to know whether you are getting an ip address from the bsnl modem or not!!it should be in the form 192.168.1.x

    this is strange.. your ipconfig says you have 192.168.1.3 as your ip.. and your gateway is 192.168.1.1 which is your bsnl modem.. and this is given to you by the bsnl modem's DHCP server.. and you say you cannot reach the modem???.. just try this to confirm.. go to command prompt and type ping 192.168.1.1 .. and tell me if the ping is successful or not!!
