    Post Slow broadband speed

    Hi,
I taken a new bsnl broadband in kolkata with home 250 plan.
I have purchesed my modem in own and it is a dlink GLB-502T modem.
For first two days there was no problem but suddenly the connection speed is very slow (slow than a dial up also) and its can't display any pages as its going to time out.
I have checked everythink in my PC and also tried it in my laptop but same result. I have also triued by giveing the open dns numbers in place of the bsnl dns. I have tried by makeing the modem in both Bridge(dial up) and POPE mode but no result.
I suspected that my modem/adsl router is giveing some problem so I have taken it to my office and linked it to the bsnl broadband that my office have. Its works very fine with a very good speed and no disconnection.
I already loged a complain to bsnl but till now no reply. can you tell me what may be the problem.

This might happen on some days with bsnl. Try checking the same for two or three more days and if it still persists, only way to go about is to complain it to bsnl, that's the only way out, at least from my perspective.

check if the phone line is intact and the telephone is working fine and the dial tone is clear if the dial tone is not clear then you will get slow speeds

Look, when EVER!!!!!!!!!!! you go high on your broadband usage with bsnl, your broadband speed will go soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow. Slower than dialup connection. If you download like me, get the Rs.500 Package and don't be a retard. I also choose the 250 package and now I want to change my package. Be smart. Rs.250 more for another 1.5 gig as opposed to paying Rs800 for another damn 1gb.
To check your usage, you can go to
    Dataone WebMail
    or
    BSNL NIB-II PORTAL

Thats why if you test your modem at another bsnl subscriber (who is not such a heavy internet user), you will suddenly see it working fast.

PS. Videos and Heavy online gaming will eat on your caps like nobody's business.
