I have gone through a few threads but am not sure of how exactly to do that.

which modem are you using?i don't see any option for port forwarding/virtual server from these pics but your dhcp must be off for port forwarding to work in pppoe mode.after this you must find some option of port forwarding/virtual server & set the specified ports to forward to a specified IP.

Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

should i look else where?
what is your modem name---it must be on cover or box like netgear, dlink, ustarcom etc.
ok it says dareglobal db108 adsl modem

but it looks like a far easier way would be to use bridge mode & using XP to dial.in this mode there is no problems of port forwarding as all the traffic is routed directly to your computer unlike the pppoe mode you are currently using.go to above link & see if you can port forward.if not then better go for bridge mode.
can u tell me in detail how to use bridge mode......
thanks
download manual in word document here---

view as html at following link(use firefox)---

first start with modem settings.
in the manual under topic"Configuration of Login ID and password in the CPE (ADSL MODEM)" go to step 5--"Make sure that Connection Type is PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE), Click Next".instead of connection type as pppoe select bridge.rest settings will be same.
in LAN properties default gateway 192.168.1.1 i.e.same as your modem home page.also set IP address & DNS server addresses to automatic if they are not.
after setting modem in bridge mode you have to make a connection in windows XP.go to network connections.click on create a new connection.click on-->connect to internet-->set my connection manually-->connect using a connection that requires username/password-->type isp name(bsnl or whatever you like)-->enter username & password-->you can tick on creating a shortcut on desktop if you like(even if you don't it will appear in network connections).double click on it to get connected.
