Based on Service provider you need the Bandwidth...........

If you can say the exact location then i can tell you the available service providers.

    Best ones:
    BSNL
    Airtel

well bsnl should be available.. and 256kbps is good enough atleast with vonage..if you are going to use the phone daily and also the internet for other purposes .. then i suggest the UL 900 PLAN... so if you go for the vonage voip and the UL plan.. you can talk all you want.. for free!!!!it will be totally unlimited!!

How shall I calculate how much limit I need? Any suggestions will be helpful.
I will be using only for phone no surfing.

that depends on which service you are using.. different services have different usage!!.. but you can take an average of say 1mb per min ..thats how it goes mostly..so 1hr=60mb .. so 60*30=1800mb.. so thats around 1.8 gb.. there again as i said 1mb per min is an approx.. it depends on the service!!

    Hi neelima....

My suggestion is go for airtel/bsnl

    128kbps is suffient.
airtel they are charging 256 --750/- (Both bsnl and airtel rates are same)

Take unlimited is my suggestion. If you are planning to user only voip
1GB is suffiencient if you talk hours also.

well i think u hav solved it, but lets help this section for others who read this

first of all, the best option is get some software which measure the bandwidth used by u in an average phone call, this will show the exact usage for ur voip product

    or u can refer this:

1 minute voip call using fring on my wifi cell with bsnl modem is 137 Kb
1 hour of it goes to 8 mb

this changes not much like 1 or 2 mb only
