    Default help needed,

    is it neccesary the telphone connection should be near to pc for broadband connection,please some one help me with it….i applied for a type 1 modem i dont have any idea about this

    well yes.. you need a telephone line to your pc.. but you dont need a telephone there!!

    mm.... its not like that.. u can extend the line if ur ph is not near ur pc.. but i dont have any idea..whethr it would cause any speeding issues...

    I would advise setting the BB router to the very first (entry) point of the BSNL line. If there are extensions and they run in close proximity to electricity wires, there are chances of signal noise - not a problem for voice but to data circuits.

    Also have a splitter at every instrument (router or telephone). Splitters are very cheap at Rs. 80/- or less.

    And yes, a phone connection is required - a phone instrument is not.

    nop.. splitter is jus 15Rs
