if you are on 512 kbps plan then this speed is fine.. there is no problem in 60kbps transfer rate on 512kbps connection..

coz transfer rate is 1/8 of line rate... so if you are on 512kbps it means
512/8=64 where you are already getting 60+ kbps speed.. which is fine...

and if it is not going more than thing during night hours then please check what is the max speed available to you and post it here...

    Default pl correct

With all due respect Mr administrator you are also acting like BSNL .Aleast you can read the blog carefully before replying. his plan offers upto mbps and moreover his screenshot is showing KB not kb so your calculation is not correct.

    Please post the correct calculation.
Home 500c speed is 256Kbps/Up to 2 Mbps
Means minimum promised is 256Kbps and not 2 Mbps.

why did u take this c+ when they provide home 500 package.and i dont understand when i ordered bsnl broadband connection the person said home 500 connection.nothing about c or c+ was even mentioned.why opt for c+ when home 500 is much better.change ur package to home 500 with no c and c+.that is good.try it.

Yes BSNL promises 256kbps to 2 mbps. in 500c or c+ plan. But all other person having 500c or c+ plan are getting 2mbps and Mr. Rave1 is getting 512 kbps. Is it right? No way. He should get 2mbps or all other people who are getting 2mbps should get 512kbps to maintain the equality to all customer. I think there may be Noise in his line. So I request him to contact local BSNL office.

but it doesnt reach 2mbps all the time.when u download small mb files it reaches 2mb.he should receive above 512kbps.around 1mb atleast.i think it depends upon the package one is using.home 500 plan receives good speed.internet speed also depends upon how clean ur system is.too many junk files.browsing history clutter remains in the pc despite cleaning.

It can be of two reasons

    1. Your plan is yet to change. BSNL plan change do not happen on first. It is a bit tricky with hidden charges. Please go through

    Precautions During BSNL Plan Change

    2. Some problem in the line

Please post your SNR and attenuation values.

He is mentioning about direct downloads. Port forwarding will not be helpful in that case.
