Default PC & Laptop on the same BSNL Broadband Connection

I am a BSNL Broadband user, using the connection with quite satisfaction on my PC.

I have a Laptop, where I want to update the Security Signature Updates with the same connection.

I am unable to connect to the Internet from Laptop, after entering Login/Password it gives error message 619 and 691 and connection aborts.

Any suggestion to get rid of the problem and how can use the connection on Laptop also.

    Best wishes...

    SONIA.

Hello Sonia, Please tell us about your router. You are obviously using it in bridge mode (because you are entering username/password). You must configure it in PPPoE mode for simultaneous use from PC and laptop. Thanks.

this will work only if modem is set in pppoe mode(in which you don't have to enter username/pass only turning modem on & you are connected).
