Thread: Setting up Wireless connection with UT300R2U Modem

I have a BSNL Broadband connection and the modem I'm using is UTSTARCOM (model no: UT300R2U) which is ADSL 2+ Modem/Router. I only have a laptop at home and am connecting to internet through the Ethernet port. I want to get rid of the physical connectivity between the laptop & the modem and am looking at setting up the wireless connection but without any luck so far. I believe this modem will act as a router as well.
Can someone pl. help me with the exact steps? Appreciate your help.

Correct. UT-300R2U is a wired ADSL modem/router. It has no wireless capability. To have wireless capability please buy a wireless router.

I have UT300R2U ADSL2+ Modem from BSNL, it is working fine with ethernet but now i want to configure with my 3com wireless router, please tell me how to do that ( i tried but no luck so far).
