Default Can modem of other service provider be used with BSNL??

    Hi,

I have a broadband modem and wireless router(Netgear DG834GT) from some other broadband service provider. I am planning to take a bsnl broadband connection. Can I use the same box with BSNL connection or do i have to specifically buy the modem and wireless router advised by BSNL???
Will this netgear box be compatible with bsnl connection??

I would much appreciate if someone could post the reply to my email.

    Thanks

check to see if either your broadband modem or wifi router has a telephone port i.e. RJ 11 port behind it.. if so, then it supports.. you need to have a DSL router for this.. all DSL routers come with telephone port.. if you have one you can use the same modem otherwise you may need to purchase one from bsnl or elsewhere!!
