WLL and the latest EVDO/NIC broadband are two different things, please be clear about what you want.

    First thing:-
What do you really want,if you are looking for BSNL EVDO/NIC ,there are two schemes,

    1.unlimited-2.4 mbps-3500/-(start),550/month,
    2.unlimited-144kbps-2800/-(start),250/month,

    For
connection -1 you'll get good speed even for only web browsing,

    but for

connection-2 you may not get the full speed for browsing, the connection will be definitely slow,if yoo can do with that, then its ok.

and for WLL,its "wireless local loop".

I am in a hurry I'll clarify more about CDMA soon.

BSNL is offering up to 2 mbps for 250 and why do you want to go for such low speed internet, although wireless. YOu can go th bsnl's 250 plan which has a very good speed.

if one keeps this 144kbps connection on for 24 hrs(very unlikely if the person is using this on a laptop) he can only be able to download 1GB in a day & if the person is taking this connection only to surf then 1GB limit in 250 plan is enough for normal browsing & chatting.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

Well ,I agree, for the speed is 144kbps. but for BSNL BB wired connection 250/- the speed is upto 2mbps,you'll make a easy 100MB with only surfing 5hrs in one day,as you can browse much more web content in limited period unlike 144kbps as speed is low.

can any one give me an idea abt how many mb's will b consumed if i browse for around 7-8 hrs a day......? no downloads......just browsin n chattin.....i use cam.......i feel if i go for 250 plan it wont b sufficient for me.....ill b happy if i get a speed of 100 or 110kbps consistently......coz im a damn slow YOU Telecom connection in which the download transfer rate never goes beyond 6Kb/sec....

7-8 hrs a day with browsing, chatting & cam i think you may cross the 2.5GB limit in home 500.to be safe i recommend home 1000 or unlimited plan of home 900.you can go for home 500 but always keep an eye on total data transfer after each day as bsnl counts both upload & download & therefore your cam's outgoing video will also eat your available monthly data tansfer.

then i think i have to go for WLL connection which provides 144kbps at 250per month...which is pretty cheaper when compared to 500 permonth for YOU telecom.....i hope i get more than 100 kbps consistently........i dont download much......infact very little......ill b happy if i get 10kb/sec transfer rate

its your choice but before taking this WLL connection check from anyone who has this connection what are the usual average speeds.

Voice calls over the internet take up about 35mb per hour and if you are using a cam along with the voice you may end up using somewhere in the range of 70-100 mb of data transfer per hour if the resolution you use is average types and it also depends what application you use for video and voice.

I would suggest you go for an unlimited plan as you are a heavy user.

I do agree with Admin, after all when unlimited is same price as BSNL wired, why not go for wireless unlimited, and as you are using cam you'll easily make 500MB a day,but first check for your area coverage, because the speed of EVDO/NIC completely depends on the signal strength.

since its WLL you may have to deposit some security for the CDMA phone.

here is the bsnl FAQ on WLL
    Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.

    according to this--
Can Internet be accessed from WLL-FWT line ?
Yes. WLL-FWT set comes with built in modem. For accessing Internet you dont need any additional modem. The following procedure may be followed for establishing Internet connection. 1. Connect RS-232 cable between your PC COM port and data port of FWT 2. In control panel select Add Hardware 3. In Modems menu select Dont detect option 4. Set Modem as Standard 19.2 Kbps Modem 5. Save the settings and restart the computer Now your PC is ready to access internet. Use other steps like dial my connection and Internet explorer for accessing internet.
this means usb port i think.
