Hi
I've just had a quirky experience configuring DHCP on a UTStarcom UT300R2U and will pass it on in case the workaround is any help.
Desired LAN setup was:
IP Address: 192.168.0.254
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Enable DHCP Server
Start IP Address: 192.168.0.100
End IP Address: 192.168.0.149
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
The only way I found to configure it as above was:
Otherwise there was an error message about the IP address having to be less than 254 for use with DHCP (sorry - did not note the actual message) and saving/rebooting would restore everything to default settings.
- Disable DHCP and save
- Set IP Address and save
- Enable DHCP, enter desired DHCP settings and save
In case this behaviour was version-specific, here's the device info:
Board ID: 96338L-2M-8M
Software Version: 3.08.02.UB.01.14_1357_100807
Bootloader (CFE) Version: 1.0.37-10.1
Firmware Version: UT300R2U.0011.01
Hardware Version: UT300R2U 2.2
Model Name: UT300R2U
