    Question Is it True ????

Today I had gone to BSNL Customer Center for changing my friend's Dataone Plan to Home UL 900. On the new connection forms they have given the tariff card in which under the Home UL 900 Plan it is mentioned "256 kbps up to 2mbps". The person at the BSNL office also said that in Home 900 also, the speed has been increased upto 2 Mbps, and the minimum upload and download speed will be 256 kbps. they gonna increase on 1st of April (i think not a April fool )

Anybody please confirm this, because I am finding it hard to trust the people at BSNL Office. Also please tell me the normal upload speed in Home UL 900?

well many users are saying that speed will be increased for all plans from 1st april.unlimited users will get upto 2mbps while other plans will get upto 8mbps.however as of now there is no official confirmation of this.you are the first person who reported that tariff card for home 900 plan now mentions upto 2mbps.lets hope you are right.don't forget to inform us if your friend get the home 900 with 2mbps speed.
also many users have reported that upload speed is now increased in home 900 from 64kbps & is now equal to download speed i.e. 256kbps.

Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

the reason is that business plans are for corporate users , these are for commercial use and that's why they have to pay more.. and home 900ul is for home use only ..... not for commercial use .. that why its cheaper ..... i think that's quite clear !

One day my speed test showed me 8198kbps,so do you think I get nearly 8mbps on my 2mbps line?

i don;t think so .. they will change the plan to 750 ul ... as such no info .. but more chances are there we will get 2mps in 900ul ... there are in fact indications that we are observing . that 900ul users are getting 2mps speed, today also i got this that's the second time this moth .. and download speed is 256kbps . usually i got about 30 -35 kbps ...!

can someone post actual download screenshots? say from rapidshare or some normal download from a site? again, please use the kbps and KBps sensibly.. its really confusing

    Note:
kbps - kilo bits per second (all connection speeds are mentioned in kbps - like BSNL's 512 kbps or 2mbps line - the small "b" indicates bits)

KBps - kilo bytes per second : all download boxes show it in bytes, like say when you download from rapidshare, its in KBps, 15KBps, 40KBps and so on

To know your max speed, see whts your connection speed - for users claiming 2mbps ie 2000kbps, your max actual download speed is 250KBps. Divide connection speed with 8 and you get the max download speed.

using this chart, please post screen shots / post speeds
