Thread: YES!!! BSNL Restricts Night UL.. NO DOUBT!!!

Guys,

Some days back we were discussing about the night UL restricts in other thead.. Now its got true.. Yesterday night my pc started downloading after 2AM.. today morning i suddenly woke up by 5AM and found that the modem's indicater lights are not blicking.. means that there is no data transfer but the connection is alive. i turned on my pc and checked torrent.. all r dead.. then i restarted my modem...again started torrent.. nop... it was not waking up.. i tried google.com.. YES... thats also dead.. but my connection was alive...

What u guys say now?? y bsnl doing like this??

i don't know about 5AM but i started IDM with links at 2:10AM & by 4:10AM all downloads were finished.in my city power cut is from 4:30-9:00AM so i have never used the full 2-8AM slot but upto 4:30AM i get no problems.

For me the connection keeps is diconnecting (i have configured the modem to connect automatically), starting from 6-7 onwarding, but seems to be working fine in 2-6.

i think it is not happening based on data transfer it is happing in all days irrespective of the data tranfer amd it's prety random u can't connect again even after 1hr or so.

yes.. i tried to connect several times after 5:30.. but i couldnt.. however its got connected when my clock ticks 8AM

very interesting.i wish i can test this but power supply in my city won't allow me.let's see if others report same thing.

it works fine here...i think it just disconnects once at around 5am.. but mostly it doesnt...

Although it could be true in some cases but i guess your case is not that, it could be genuinely some issue for your connection. As the isp's might reduce the speed and not disconnect on the whole, that's how they do it.

But even i cant get google.... all the things are dead except the connection...

yes..it happening with me since last few days..
before that..speeds were awesome
the bb problems have arised since last few days i guess....
called bsnl people....they said that they are testing some new equipments
if we are lucky....bsnl is going to upgrade its speed to 8mbps soon!!

After reading this post i suddenly recalled about my problem. I checked my usage. Its right, there's some problem around 5:00 am {also at 7:00 am}. My download rates are very low at these times. For a few days i was running thru the internet for this issue. I thought it was only my problem or my routers problem. I am using Siemens C2110 router.
But my connection usually reset after i restart the router and utorrent.
We need more cooments on this..
