    Unhappy Change in usage calculation

    Hello all,

Last few weeks I have noticed that now the usage calculation for the BSNL BB has been changed. Basically I have very less usage of internet for surfing or downloading. I mainly use it for doing voice chat with my relatives staying abroad.

Earlier when I used to do voice chat or even simple chat on yahoo or other messengers, it counted very less (negligible) to my usage i.e 1GB for Home 250 plan but nowadays when I am doing voice chat it is counted almost equal to as if I am doing regular surfing of website. So my most of the alloted 1GB capacity is consumed by doing voice chat and very less is left out for internet surfing.

Has any one noticed it? Can anyone suggest is there any way by which it can be avoided?

By the way voice chat you means, using microphone through the voip, right? If yes, yes it will consume a lot more bandwidth than any other normal usage as voice is being transferred both sides (download and upload) which is much higher in terms of bytes than regular transfer. Do be careful when doing voice chat.
