Hi All,
May be u ppl are smart.. but still i want to share this info.
If u r a new BB user and u got the connection.say.. by 10th of march.. and u would download 2.5GB(for H500) and u may think that u would get billed for rent500+extra things.... Well.. But its really not like that.

they are calculating in the following method..

Rental = 20 *(500/30)
Download = 20 * (2.5GB/30)

So u would get billed for the remaining usage... i.e 2.5 - (20*(2.5GB/30))
So be careful guys...

i always thought that even if you get your connection on the 25th.. you still would get 2.5gb for the 5 days..

i change my plane home250 to 500 on last month 21st at BSNL office employ tell to me ur plane change from next month i.e(this month).i download at night up to 20gb
i face any problem pls tell to me

yes... in feb 7th i got connection. i download around 2Gb and i was worried that i had missed 500mb free download.. but when i got my yesterday bill... and i noticed some 50Rs as excess charge.. so today i enquired bsnl and i got this info.. i would have lost 500Rs if i downloaded whole 2.5GB.. thank God.. its ended with 50bucks...

That's how they calculate when the customer has to pay the extra usage but when it comes to calculating amount where when they have to shell out extra payment, they will calculate it in their favor and that's how they charged me the full Rs. 900 plan when i changed it to Rs. 500 plan at the middle of the month but they charged Rs. 900 for the whole month but my plan was changed to 500 plan in the middle!

if u convert from h500 to UL900.. still they will bill it for UL900.. they will always focus on higher package...

I am skeptical abt the formula u posted in the very first page..........lets assume i go the connection by 10th of march........then coz of some reasons i am not able to access the BB upto 30 th......in that case (assuming 500 plan)......i can download the whole Bandwidth alloted to me i.e. 2.5 gb......when i got my BB in july 06, i thought the same way as urs...but after a meeting with the DGM of our area, he told me that, use can download the whole limited alloted to him in any single day of month.

i have charged for 24 days.. 356Rs & 2.1GB only... i paid 50Rs for remaining usage..

same here.i was billed for 3 day usage with (2560/30)=85MB per day or total limit of 255MB with bill of (500/30)=16.67 or Rs.50 for connection from 29-31 dec.

logik,if you get the connection on 10th of month then by that account your limit for remaining month will be 20*(total limit for a month/30).you can then use this much limit in a single day(say last day of month) but you will not get the full 1 month limit.also your bill too will be 20*(plan bill for a month/30).

Slight corrections as per the BSNL link :-

HOME 500C = 1.5GB + 175 calls =500 (+modem charges)
HOME 500C+ = 2.5GB + 50 calls = 600 (+modem charges)

I think that's it unless they've changed the plans and not updated the site.

see.. if u get 500C or C+.. u will get discount of 300Rs + No installation charge.. + no modem rental...

I have seen this AD in chennai... i dont know about other region..

I'm seeing an offer for 15 days free trial in all plans for folks subscribing before March 31st .. this is in Bhubaneswar, Orissa. Since I plan on getting the 500C+ before then .. lets see. Just got my landline and am now waitng for the ringtone, so that I can apply for the Home 500C+ plan.

hi arun i am new to all these things pls dont mind my ignorance .

i got my bsnl bb connection very recently 18 days 500c+ they said 2.5 gb & 2-8 unlimited , so i went on downloading many songs , ebooks, videos etc ONLY IN BETWEEN 2-8 , but my frnd told me that i'll get my bill in thousands as he believes that bsnl people will fake some of my dwn loads into non free time & send me very huge bill .

plz plz help me on this , do they count in this period also (2-8 am) . i am vey much worried plz help
