Default My Internet connection stops after a few minutes of Utorrent Downloading

*** I need Advice ***

My connection (whole internet connection) stops after an hour (or half an hour) of utorrent downloading. I could not be able to any web page after this problem. Then i've to restart my router and utorrent to start downloading again. I am using Siemens C2110 router. If this the problem of my router or BSNL problem. I searched through the internet but cant find any good answers. If any one knows the reason, please reply...

OK!i have used uTorrent to download 2 movies to see if the problem came up for me & it didn't.i used uTorrent from 2:15-4:45AM & faced no problems.since power cut in my area is from 4:45-7:45AM i can not check the downloading for whole free time but i am working on it.
@piratemaster first of all enable encryption on uTorrent for outgoing traffic if you haven't enabled it already.

its becuase bsnl peopoes out there are messing up with upgrades ..... it generally happens here also .. or the other reason may be your phone line is faulty ...! get it checked by any line man for if it should not give low insulation.

hi ,
Well actually as u have said that ur not able to access any other website when the problem occur then there is likely a problem with ur Operating system.
As others are not getting such problems as u have got(as said by whitestar) its not the case that BSNL is at fault.
Are u running a firewall ....and any kind of antivirus suite? If so then u need to configure it ....for torrents downloads ...but as u said that torrent downloading goes on for some time hence ur firewall program seems to have adjusted itself for the torrents downloads hence u need not bother regarding configuring it.
Also if u dont have any firewall please place one in place ....cos ...its many a times malware that gets in ur system to get it down....
hence get a good firewall cum an antivirus cum an spyware suite and scan ur harddisk with it .....once ...a stressfull scan keeping all the internet connection off...during the scan ....I would recomend ZoneAlarm Security suit for the same .....it superb.
I have also been seeing the logs of my zonealarm program and it shows than many a times attempts are made to access or get connection to my machine.but zone alarm firewall blocks them and secures my machine .....
But i feel its a problem of some malware mostly being a trojan horse or say a spyware being there in ur machine ..hence u may be getting such problems .....

Also do u get any msg regarding Generic Host Process probelm and u are prompted to say SEnd or Dont Send by microsoft msg ?
If thats the case then definitely there is a spyware in ur machine ...
Best it get it scanned with an anti spyware or say zone

@ whitestar

The encryption for outgoing tasks is already enabled. I download with 200 Global connections with 50 peers per torrent. Also i download 3 at a time and a total of 6 active torrents (down + up). My upload limit is 60 kBps and download limit is maximum.

I have posted this thread two week ago. After that i experienced no problem. But recently it arised again. Yesterday it stopped 4 times (I started downloading @ 5.30).
Every time i had 2 restart the modem for further net connection.

>> Also some days ago my connection icon showed "Limited or No Connectivity" after the problem. It will be OK after every time I restarted the modem. <<

I have downloaded above 1 GB of songs through FDM. But there was no such problem of connection errors.

Also i have successfully forwarded a port number for utorrent. I am using Siemens C2110 modem.

There is no lesser speed for me as everyone saying in this forum. I get a decent speed of avg. 210 kBps for good torrents. Still I cant understand why its happening oly for me.

*** Again i am saying, after this problem i cant be able to navigate to any webpage***. The only way is to restart the modem. How is it possible to sit in front of the computer for those six hours.

Please HElp.

@ shriniketsarkar

I changed my second HDD to master HDD after this problem to see whether it happens there. But what to do, it arised again.
I used Kaspersky Antivirus 7.0 on my first HDD and Esset Nod 32 on my second [current] HDD.

I never encountered any "Generic Host Process problem " as you said.

this sometimes happened to me too & at that time bsnl was doing some line repairing work in the area.

reduce your upload speed to 40KBps(or even lower) & then see if it helps.web browsing requires you to upload your requests to the web site & if torrents are using all the upload bandwidth of your connection you will not be able to browse.60KBps is the max. upload speed of bsnl 2mbps connection & average upload speed in my case is around 40KBps.

I my case the upload speed goes upto 82/83 kBps . Thats y i reduced it to 60. Anyway tommorow i'll try with 40kBps and look for better results.

*** One question ***

Can utorrent reduce our download speed if we dont keep a good ratio.

on public trackers i have downloaded at a rate of 100-150KBps for a single torrent with upload speed of 20KBps.in my case avg. upload speed is around 40-45KBps so i set individual torrent upload speeds to 10Kbps(4 torrents) or 20KBps(2 torrents).my total download speed is around 190-200KBps.
