PPPoE. Mine is a very new connection. What I see in my modem, the
    PPP username is : multiplay
    Password is not shown.

Can you please tell me as to what is the multiplay id given for? Do i need this ID?

Thanks for the info, will do as instructed.
but will you please tell me as to what is this multiplay id. and will it pose any problem once the password is removed, coz I do not want to call up the franchisee guys or bsnl regarding this as they are very non-responsive.

but will you please tell me as to what is this multiplay id.
i have this multiplay ID in DSL Home---Management Server settings in the modem(password is also "multiplay")& these settings looks like preset from bsnl.i am using bridge mode.but this setting is different from when you click on edit in connection settings(in internet configuration) & there enter your bsnl username/password.

Default Problem in connectiong HTC S710 with Huawei WA1003A router

I have Huawei WiFi ADSL router WA1003A at home (for broadband connection). I tried connecting to router from HTC S710 by using various possibilities of settings. Still i am not successful. It detects the WiFi connections but fails to connect. I tried with or without WEP. I tried connecting through internet or work setting. I am not using DHCP in my router. Please let me know what settings are needed to enable connection

You must turn on DHCP on the wireless router. How else will the HTC get an IP address?
