you should be able to open routers config. page by typing 192.168.1.1. not 192.168.0.1. and regarding for always on connection just send me your e-mail i will mail you some screenshots that might help you out

i have also created an always on connection meaning thereby that i dont have to dial again and again and i am able to connect infinte number of pc's to the same BB connection( thanks to just4kix he really helped me out)

PPPoE. Mine is a very new connection. What I see in my modem, the
PPP username is : multiplay
Password is not shown.

Can you please tell me as to what is the multiplay id given for? Do i need this ID?

Thanks for the info, will do as instructed.
but will you please tell me as to what is this multiplay id. and will it pose any problem once the password is removed, coz I do not want to call up the franchisee guys or bsnl regarding this as they are very non-responsive.

i have this multiplay ID in DSL Home---Management Server settings in the modem(password is also "multiplay")& these settings looks like preset from bsnl.i am using bridge mode.but this setting is different from when you click on edit in connection settings(in internet configuration) & there enter your bsnl username/password.
