Thread: Help-configuring wireless in SL2_141 Nokia Siemens Modem

Hi,

I got a new modem installed yesterday by the BSNL guys. It was the Nokia-Siemens SL2_141. They didnt install any drivers nor was ny CD given to me in the package. The modem works fine while connected through a LAN card.

My laptop detects the wireless network as default. When i try to connect to it, my internet doesnt work.

Any help ?

regarding Siemens sl2_141( i think its only Siemens not nokia siemens) follow these steps(see the attached pictures) to get your internet working ,as i have also this router.

I recently got a BB connection from BSNL and they installed the SL2_141 modem. I have configured my Nokia E61i for wifi (wlan). Ihave got my mobile connected to the router. I am not able to connect to net. I get message no reply from gateway.

Kindly help in this regard

that could be because you are using bridged mode, you need to change to ppoe mode!!

Please ping and try the modem gateway address (if pinging) you will get packet sent (4) recived (4) and then try pinging the DNS (218.248.255.141) go to - wireless networks properties- highlight internet protocol tcp/ip -- properties assign the ip address as
192.168.1.100/sub:255.255.255.0/default gateway :192.168.1.1/preferred dns:192.168.1.1
Alternate DNS:218.248.255.141 -- ok and Try
