Thread: broadband connection denied on sulabh plan

i am from kolkata. i have been using bsnl landline with sulabh plan for over 2 years now. when i approached bsnl for plan 900 plus the commercial officer at alipore exchange told me that i would have to change from sulabh to general to get any broadband plan. i believe that i am being misleaded by a government official. it is not necessary to have general plan to get a broadband connection from bsnl.

please help me to get a solution in this matter.

sulabh plan is incoming plan only.

as far as i know broadband connection is given on a normal telephone connection which has both incoming & outgoing even if its just local calls.still you can clarify with some senior official at local exchange & if he said the same thing then you must accept it.

The official has misguided you completely. I have only incoming and I have Home 500. Even before applying I had asked one of the officials here(a lady) and she informed me that it is not necessary to have both incoming and outgoing for Broadband Connection. I got the connection on January 2008.
