    Angry same problem with special features

    friends how can i get portal id and password?could i get from bsnl site?if yes than how?whats better bridging or always on and why?

    Exclamation plz help me iam in dangerous situation

    i am living in small town , problem is that default bb password "password'. i think my internet connection is not port bind because when i apply my friend's username and password ican login successfully.so its not safe for me too,our local bsnl people doesn't know very much.PLZ FRIENDS TELL ME WHAT I SHOULD DO?

    Hi friend,

    U can change ur BSNL Broadband password from BSNL - Broadband Account Management links.. once u change the password in the above site and U must change the password in ur router too(itz very very imp)

    You cannot create the portal id and password on your own, it will be given to you by the bsnl once you got the new connection. The option of bridging or always on will be decided by the person who installs your broadband in bsnl. LOL!

    you can configure your modem for either one---bridge or pppoe(always on).in case of pppoe since you are always on & connected there is very less chance of someone login through your account to connect to net as no two people can connect at the same time using same account.however in case of pppoe mode since you are always connected make sure that you do not download any thing unnecessarily(e.g.windows update,software updates etc) & if you are planning on downloading between 2-8AM always restart modem at 2:05AM & 7:55AM after matching your system clock with some good indian news channel(e.g.AAJ TAK).

    you need to keep your modem on always in order to follow the above method by whitestar
