Thread: my modem shuts down whenever power is gone

dear friends
i m using bsnl broadband with 900up plan for the last two years, modem sterlite, i am facing a problem, whenevers the power gone, modem shuts down for a few moments. pls help me

obviously if the power goes off the modem goes off but if you have inverter but still your modem goes for a moment that is because the inverter is taking some time to switch to its power source,to be more precise inverter should take some milliseconds to switch between the power source.

as player said it took some milliseconds & some modems can't handle even this & restart.one user has mentioned the same problem(his modem restrts when connected to inverter but other model remains on when inverter took over).try to test your inverter with different modems to see which one works best.
