Thread: Guys I need help configuring my connection on my laptop

Hi,

I have purchased a new laptop and I had a bsnl connection in my desktop.
I want to configure the connection on my laptop and the OS is MS Vista.
Can anyone guide me or send along a link where i Can install/configure it.

which router do you have and by what you want to connect to the internet through LAN cable or through Wi-Fi

I have a type I modem, a LAN cable connected one, not the wireless connection.

go to the command prompt of windows vista and type ipconfig and post results here.this is to know whether you are getting an ip address from your modem or not

Guys i was able to configure it myself.
This vista is tuff to get used to.
It was a normal configuring process.
