i am also having the same problem and mine is 500C. it's been there for some time (may be few weeks) i have noticed only couble of days back and happening on the happy hours,

Also it look it disconecting not based on the download that i have made on the happy hours. it's pretty random and for me it's diconnecting every 1 or 2 min. it's too bad that i can't use the internet after 6...(2-6 may be working good, i have noticed the connection is alive at 5.30).

one more point to make here is the connection speed that i am getting is above 2Mbps (arround 4Mbps with IDM) for about 2 weeks. May be from that point the connection disconnetion is happening...

anybody else residing in chennai facing the same... or found a soution..... please...

dont use a dial-up connection make an always on connection .in this mode you will not have to dial again and again the router itself will dial automatically when connection breaks up

I have a auto redial set in my modem connected in ppoE mode.
May be i need to connect the modem directly without a spliter in between. To make sure the splitter is not causing an issue.

my windows reconnects automatically if disconnected but reconnecting is not the problem here.... the problem is why its diconnecting ... it disconnects for every 4-5 min or sometimes it may be 10-15 min .....i am having that problem since i got the connection ........and the disconnections only in happy hours otherwise connection works perfectly

I too experienced this issue when i was using the dial-up connection and then i switched to always on some time back and that problem has stopped and even if the net disconnects it reconnects again automatically and starts the downloads!

can anyone help me out? i have the BSNL broadband connection, WA1003A. i have taken a separate phone line jus for the modem, but whenever anyone picks up any of the telephones, the DSL disconnects. and i then have to restart the modem. and if that isn't bad enough, it still doesnt work unless i hit the repair connection button. i have 2 PCs running on this connection, one via lan and one wireless. while running, i sometimes get very very slow speeds and frequent disconnects. but these are a problem with everyone in the area. so i guess i cant do much about that. i just need to fix the disconnection when the phone is in use. this thing drives me crazy. anyone know wat to do?

do you have a splitter connected?? ensure that the telephone line coming from the pole connects directly to the splitter and then let the telephones be connected after the splitter

i am also getting this issue. i am in bangalore(yelahanka exchange)

during the day, as it progresses this problem is more, i mean the frequent disconnections. during night it is good.

they say it is a line problem, but the line recently laid. it is a new extension. i keep complaining to the bsnl. sometime they say it is line problem and sometime modem problem.. still not sorted out.

    i have mt880 modem.

    any advice, suggestions ???
